College Program
Monday Night Devotionals.  One of the main avenues of contact with JSU students is a regular period of singing, Bible study, and fellowship each Monday night during the school year.  We meet for a meal at 7:00 p.m. and start our devotional at 7:30 p.m. We close at about 8:30 p.m. and the let the students enjoy getting to know each other and use the JCSC facilities.

Polishing the Pulpit
Each year a group of preachers meet in October to "brainstorm," research, share information/ideas, and to better learn how to preach.  The purpose of the workshop is to assist young preachers by providing sermon and illustration materials, developing sermon ideas, giving practical ideas about local church work, suggesting beneficial books, visiting an exemplary congregation to learn, "hands on," and how to," and providing instruction by older, capable preachers.

Primetimers
The church's PrimeTimers (ptrs) Group was originally organized on August 1998, and is designed to organize and involve the congregation's members who are 50 years old and over (if one spouse is 50, then the other is included).  The group meets on the third Friday of each month, at 6:30 p.m., in the Student Center for a social meal and to coordinate upcoming group activities.

Tape Ministry
The Jacksonville church of Christ provides tapes to interested people of all Sunday services, plus Gospel Meetings and Special Speakers (like the Wednesday night summer series).  The tapes cost us $.60 each and mailing packet of eight tapes costs $1.25.  We mail them once every two months, so we spend about $6.05 per person per shipment.  We ask those who receive tapes to cover the cost of $37/year.  This will not apply to our shut-ins.

Visitation Program
Our goal is to visit everyone from the community who visits our services the same week they visit us and to visit all new members several times during the first few weeks.  We are divided into four teams of about sixteen members each.  Two teams the first week of the month, and one team each other week.  Plus, one team makes no personal visits but sends cards every week.

Women's Activities
Since 1999, our ladies have hosted an annual ladies day.  There is a lady's devotional class meeting at 3:00 every Monday at the Student Center.  There is a Secret Sisters program.  The women's group also hosts showers and meals, and a Good Works program.

Youth Activities
The Jacksonville church of Christ is interested in  young people.  Sermons and classes are planned with them in mind.  We seek to bring all of them to a knowledge of God's will and seek to bring them to Christ when they reach the age of accountability.  We have Children's Devotional/Activities, encourage participation in Christian Camps,  participate in area-wide youth devotionals, and hold a Vacation Bible School each summer.
